💪 Exercise & Health 💪
A recent study supported by NIH found that women who exercise regularly enjoy greater health benefits than men, even with less time spent sweating it out.
Published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, the study analyzed data from over 400,000 adults aged 27-61 over two decades. The results?
Women had a 24% lower risk of premature death and a 36% lower risk of fatal cardiovascular events compared to non-exercisers, while men had a 15% and 14% lower risk, respectively.
And guess what? These benefits apply to all types of exercise!
Whether it's brisk walking, intense cardio, or strength training, women can achieve significant risk reductions with less time invested. For example, just 140 minutes of moderate aerobic exercise per week can yield the same benefits as 300 minutes for men.
Similarly, women need only 57 minutes of vigorous aerobic exercise per week, compared to 110 minutes for men.
So, let's celebrate the power of women in fitness and health! Keep moving, stay strong, and own your well-being! 💫 #WomenInFitness #HealthEmpowerment #ExerciseBenefits"
